Stereoleto Music Festival, June 11-12
Stereoleto – is the oldest independent international annual summer festival of contemporary and alternative music in Russia. Founded in 2001, the festival was awarded as «the event of the year» by different famous Russian mass media. During the history of the festival, more than 700 artists performed at this event. Being held in a historical park area on Elagin Island for 10 years, in 2018 it was decided to change festival’s venue and move it to the brand new art space ARTPLAY. Stereoleto is designed to be a festival friendly to everyone. This year Line-up will be represented by Franz Ferdinand, Milky Chance, Ionnalee and many other artists.
XI International Festival «Imperial Gardens of Russia», June 21-27
Imperial Gardens of Russia – is an annual celebration of landscape art which is held by the Russian Museum and takes place on its territories, in the Mikhailovsky Garden. It is the first landscape festival of its kind in Russia and stands on one level with such international festivals as Chelsea Flower Show in London and the International Garden Festival in Chaumont-sur-Loire, France. The central event of the festival is the landscaping exhibition and competition. Every year artists create landscaping compositions on a given topic. All the visitors can enjoy the beauty of the sculptures as well as take part in various cultural and entertainment activities which include master-classes, concerts, and lectures.
International Music Festival «Usadba Jazz», July 28
Usadba Jazz – is the central music event for all music lovers. Every year this open-air festival, which takes place at Elagin Island, unites such genres as jazz, funk, world music, acid-jazz, lounge, jazz-rock and blues.
This year the festival will celebrate its 15th anniversary and become the host for both foreign (Rohey (Norway), BigYuki (Japan) and Russian artists.
VIII International Street Theatre Festival «Yelagin Park», August 3-5
International Street Theatre Festival «Yelagin Park» is an annual celebration of street theatre in Saint Petersburg. This event gathers artists from different countries from South Korea to France.
During the festiva,l guests can enjoy amazing performances, spectacles and pantomimes. Visitors can not only watch the show but also become a part of genuine theatre magic.
